Researched over the centuries and used as a medicine in many cultures around the world, tea is an everyday drink in the diet of many people. Green tea is widely consumed in many countries, especially in Asian countries such as Japan and China. As a consumer and public health student, I have always wondered why people sometimes drink unhealthy drinks like tea and coffee. Of course, if a person drinks tea with a lot of cream and sugar, it will not be as healthy. If you add cream and sugar to something that looks healthy, such as carrots. For some, tea is a drink throughout the day and eaten with food. For others, tea is used to boost mood and energy, although tea has a relatively low caffeine content. Tea is also used for medicinal purposes and for general health. Coffee and tea have many health benefits and are calorie-free on their own. In this post, we discuss the latest research on the consumption of green tea and the many uses of green tea, including weight loss prevention, influenza prevention, cancer, high blood pressure and Alzheimer's disease.

The cultural history of tea around the world

In many Asian cultures, such as Japan, China, and India, it is important to discuss many cultures and the history behind green tea. In my blog post, Tea Culture - 8 Ways to Enjoy the World of Tea ,iI will explain the health benefits in more detail.

A recent study in the Journal of Nutrition has shown that green tea, black tea, and aloe vera have a significant effect on weight loss . In this study, rats ate high-fat / high-sugar diets with green tea, black tea or polyphenol extracts (caffeine-free). For all three types of tea, the rat lost significant weight and visceral fat. Interestingly, rats eating green tea varieties reduced their food intake by% 10%. The authors believe that this may be due to the higher ECGC levels found in green tea compared to other teas.

In addition, the study shows that the mechanism between green tea and black tea may be very different. For example, green tea EGCG is believed to work primarily on the liver, including lipid oxide and thermogenesis. On the other hand, black tea polyphenols can work primarily on pancreas, which can reduce lipid fat while reducing pancreatic fat. So drinking both types of tea can help you cope with obesity in two different ways.

Another recent study sought to explain the role of green tea in natural polysaccharides and caffeine in weight loss. In this study, mice were fed a complex fat diet consisting of only green tea extract or polyphenols and polysaccharides. The results suggest that polyphenols and polysaccharides, which are found in green tea, are responsible for weight loss and fat loss. In addition, the authors note that polyphenols, polysaccharides, and caffeine all improve antimicrobial levels, reduce serum leptin levels, and inhibit fatty acids.

It is important to note that the exact amount of green tea (and most other herbs) is not currently known for effective weight loss in humans. There are many benefits to tea, and when it comes to weight loss (unless you use a lot of cream and sugar), there is no doubt that tea consumption is more harmful

Drinking tea  can protect against the flu, and weight loss.

Green tea (as well as many other herbs) are known to have antiviral properties. Green tea consumption and the recently published study shows that the relationship between the occurrence of influenza infection in Japan, children between 6 and 13 years of results a week from 6 cups of drinks likely infected children by 40%, or less than 3 per week or less, called cups He was compared to children. Evidence suggests that drinking 1.5 cups of green tea a day can help prevent the spread of influenza in children

There were no significant differences in weight loss, cholesterol, triglycerides, or waist circumference. However, the group that ate green tea reduced blood pressure.
